چکیده
The soil and groundwater of the Bhagobangola I block Murshidabad district, West Bengal, India is severely arsenic-contaminated. A bacterium was isolated from garden Mahishasthali village, which could tolerate 36.49 mM arsenic (III), 280.44 (V) 63 chromium makes it (III V) (III) hyper-tolerant bacterium. growth pattern this does not show much alteration in presence 10 emphasizing its resistance to these heavy metals. Scanning electron microscopic analysis depicted be rod-shaped with a size ~1.45 µm. 16S rDNA sequencing, followed by subsequent phylogenetic analysis, established identity as Microbacterium paraoxydans. This capable bioremediation showed 30.8% 35.2% for 1mM 22.6%, 30.5% 4mM arsenite, over period 24 48 h, respectively. paraoxydans also exhibits potential plant growth-promoting properties such nitrogen fixation, phosphate solubilization, indole-3-acetic acid production siderophores. Therefore, metal resistance, utilized only reduction toxicity but promotion.

Stimulatory Effects of Arsenic-Tolerant Soil Fungi on Plant Growth Promotion and Soil Properties
Fifteen fungi were obtained from arsenic-contaminated agricultural fields in West Bengal, India and examined for their arsenic tolerance and removal ability in our previous study. Of these, the four best arsenic-remediating isolates were tested for plant growth promotion effects on rice and pea in the present study. A greenhouse-based pot experiment was conducted using soil inocula of individua...

Some rhizobacteria have positive effects on plants growth. Syrian bean-caper (Zygophyllum fabago) is a weed plant with medicinal value. This study was conducted to isolate and identify bacteria from Syrian bean-caper rhizosphere. Characteristics associated with plant growth stimulation, such as phosphate and zinc dissolution, production of Indole acetic acid and antifungal activity, were invest...
متن کاملLuteimonas arsenica sp. nov., an arsenic-tolerant bacterium isolated from arsenic-contaminated soil.
A Gram-stain-negative, rod-shaped bacterium that formed yellow and viscous colonies was isolated from arsenic-contaminated soil of the Jianghan plain, Hubei Province, China, and it was designated 26-35T. This strain was capable of resisting arsenate and arsenite with MICs of 40 and 20 mM, respectively. The 16S rRNA gene of the novel isolate displayed 96.7-94.2 % sequence similarities to those o...
